When Angie’s Boom Chicka Pop got in touch they were looking for a new commercial campaign centered around this idea of “The Sweet Unwind.” As the writer and creative director, I brainstormed scenarios where a delicious treat could really add a pop of pleasure in an otherwise stressful day. Of course as a native Angeleno, the first thing that came to mind was sitting in traffic. You’re in gridlock, people are honking, you’re getting anxious and then BOOM! You remember that you have a bag of Boom Chicka Pop popcorn in the glove compartment! After one bite, the stress melts away and everything gets brighter, shinier, happier. There’s even a La La Land style dance party on top of the cars! 

This was a blast to dream up and write and I’m thrilled with how the final spot turned out.
